Ornamental trees

An ornamental tree is a must for every garden.  They can add structure, be a focal point of the garden as well as giving shade, privacy and spring/autumn colour.  Our knowledgeable staff are always on hand at our garden centre in Nottingham to help you select the perfect tree for your garden.

Here are some of our favourites

Acer platanoides Drummondii Ideal specimen tree for any size garden.  This lovely Norway Maple is hardy, has vigorous growth and tolerates pollution. It is easy to maintain and provides wonderful autumn colour.

Acer platanoides Crimson King. Handsome broad tree with deep crimson-purple leaves in summer turning orange in autumn. Excellent foliage contrast for any garden.

Amelanchier Canadensis. Versatile tree that is ideal for any size garden.  White flowers in spring, outstanding autumn foliage, tolerant of most soils.

Betula jacquemontii. Himalayan Birch is ideal for any garden.  Has white bark and catkins in spring.  Has a open habit and ideal tree to cast dappled shade on a bright day.

Liquidambar Worplesdon  Beautiful large growing tree with long narrow maple like leaves that turn orange and yellow in Autumn.  The corky bark adds extra interest in winter.

Prunus Autumnalis Rosea. Small, spreading tree that has bell shaped semi-double white flowers that appear in late autumn. Perfect for a smaller garden.

Robinia pseudoacacia Frisia. Stylish tree that makes a dramatic statement with bright yellow foliage. Fragrant flowers in the spring.

Sorbus aucuparia. Known as mountain ash, perfect choice for any garden. Wonderful foliage, spring flowers then berries in the autumn.
